What We Hear
If you have not taken a “fearless and moral inventory of yourself” you should. If you haven’t shared this “inventory” with another human being, you should do that as well. As our life continues to progress we can find ourselves filled with all types of wreckage that put up a barrier in our hearts and minds. These barriers, the longer they go unattended, grow to the point of blocking God from our lives. The larger barrier, the easier to hear the adversary and accept his lies. We then begin acting upon those lies we are told.
In Mark 7:15 NKJV Jesus is very clear
15 There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man. 16 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear!”

We love helping others and believe that’s one of the reasons we are chosen as Ambassadors of the Kingdom, to serve God’s children. We look to the Greatest Commandment as our Powering force.
When we allow our heart to become hardened this takes over the mind and then our actions. Our stomach is not connected to the heart nor the mind. It is our heart that needs to be cleared and the only way of doing this is to purge the wreckage, sins we have committed, that fill our hearts and cloud our path. It is what has come out of us, over the years, that have defiled our life; it is what has kept from God.
Literally writing down what we have done to others and how we have acted over the years may be a simple task, but it is most certainly not easy. Sharing these items takes courage, fortitude and firm belief in Jesus Christ. Telling another human being that which you said to yourself “I will take this to my grave.” is one of the most freeing things you will ever do. The chains are removed and the Holy Spirit floods your being.
I learned in an AA meeting years ago how this works – The truth about myself does not change simply because I refuse to look at the truth about myself. – There is nothing more freeing than looking at your life, honestly and fearlessly, then sharing with another human being. It is a life altering situation that has no equal nor description.
